DARA contributes to the national dialogue on PhD education
Recently, DARA’s Director, Philip Hallenborg, participated in a conference hosted by the Danish Council for Research and Innovation Policy on the future of PhD education in Denmark. Discussions focused on quality, career pathways, and competitiveness. The Council also presented its preliminary analysis and recommendations on how to strengthen PhD education in Denmark.

Monday the 15th of March, DARA’s Director, Philip Hallenborg, participated in an event hosted by Danish Council for Research and Innovation Policy - DFiR. The event brought together researchers, administrators and key stakeholders from across the Danish research ecosystem to discuss how to improve the PhD education in Denmark.
As the research landscape continues to evolve, the frameworks that support the next generation of researchers need to develop as well. At the conference, the Danish Council for Research and Innovation Policy presented its preliminary analysis and recommendations on the Danish PhD education system. You can find them here. DFiR had invited for an open discussion on key themes shaping the future of PhD training, including research quality, career pathways, international competitiveness, and the conditions needed to attract and retain talented PhD candidates.
